Frequently asked questions

These questions cover how the Infinite Flight Open Beta works, who can join, how beta access and subscriptions behave, and what kind of feedback is useful during a test cycle. Review this section before signing up so you know what to expect from pre-release builds and how to report issues effectively.

What is the Infinite Flight Open Beta?

The Infinite Flight Open Beta gives iOS and Android pilots access to pre-release builds before they reach the main production app. It is intended for testing upcoming changes, spotting issues, and sharing useful feedback while features are still being refined.

Who can join the Open Beta?

The Open Beta is available to pilots on iOS and Android. Android beta participation is generally open, while iOS availability depends on TestFlight capacity for the current beta cycle.

Do I need an Infinite Flight Pro subscription to use beta features?

The Open Beta does not include free Infinite Flight Pro access. If you want to use Pro features in the beta, you must already have a subscription in the main app and log in with your linked IFC account. You must also link your IFC account in the main app settings. For help with this, visit our User Guide.

How do I join on iOS or Android?

Use the signup links on this page. On iOS, install TestFlight first, then join from your device. On Android, opt in through Google Play using the beta signup link.

What kind of feedback should I report during the Open Beta?

Focus on major issues tied to the current beta, especially crashes, performance problems, and unexpected behavior in new systems. Report findings in the Open Beta forum category so the team can track them in one place.

What should I avoid posting in the beta forum?

Avoid feature requests, off-topic discussion, duplicate reports, direct messages to staff unless requested, and bugs from older production versions. The Open Beta forum is meant for current beta issues only, and staff may not reply to every thread.

Should I expect bugs or instability in the Open Beta?

Yes. The Open Beta exists to test unfinished software, so crashes, visual issues, and performance problems can happen. If you are not comfortable using a build where some things may be broken, it is better to stay on the main production app.
