Quick Update on Project Metal
From time to time we are asked about the status of Project Metal. From a development standpoint, a lot has happened. Users will not see a change for some time, however, we can report that developers are making good progress moving the Infinite Flight code base to the new graphics pipeline. After this is complete, all aircraft models will be converted to work on the new graphics pipeline as well. After this has been implemented, tested, and shipped, Project Metal will be complete, and new features that depend on it (such as a new lighting system) will make their way into the sim.
We will endeavor to provide updates as we move forward in this process.
