DEVELOPMENT TIMELINE

The Infinite Flight Development Timeline took you through the inner workings of our app development. We've kept this content available for you, however all development news is now shared on our blog.

23.2 Progress

23.2 will include the new Challenger 350 and lots of other updates and improvements. As we draw to a close on this release cycle, we want to acknowledge again that software development can present many unexpected challenges (pun intended). This time around was no different, and we thought it would be good to share the current challenge we're addressing before pushing this update to you.

One of the final stages of an update is to prepare the Airport and Navigation database. This provides all of the data that the app needs to load the latest airports from the Scenery Editors and waypoints from the FAA and other providers.

We went through some major technical changes in the past couple of releases and this has meant that a new issue has surfaced which is preventing us from correctly updating the scenery data for new airports (so the airport elevation is wrong and the map is out of date). Here are some examples to demonstrate the issue:

Getting this bug fixed, along with a few others means we should be ready to push for App Store approval. We'll keep you updated as we go! Until then, here's a preview of one of the brand-new liveries we're adding to the fleet in 23.2; Jet2holidays B737-800!
