<p><strong>REMARKS</strong> can be added to the ATIS to provide pilots with more information such as &quot;No Pattern Work allowed&quot;</p>

<p><strong>NOTAMS</strong> are used in the same way as REMARKS above, and provide more information for pilots</p>

<li>
<p>When multiple frequencies are in use, the ATIS can be used to tell pilots which frequency to contact from what direction</p>

<p>Once you have finished selecting the runways, REMARKS, NOTAMS and frequencies that you wish to use, you can check what the final message will look like to make sure it is correct</p>

<li>
<p>When ready to publish, select the ATIS information (i.e. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie etc) and then hit <strong>PUBLISH</strong></p>

<li>The drag and vector tool can be used on any radar frequency (e.g. approach and departure) by pressing, holding and then dragging from the aircraft towards the direction you want to vector the aircraft in. As you drag, information is displayed that shows the heading, distance, time it will take to reach the point of drag (at the aircrafts current speed) and the surrounding terrain. When you release, options to send the message to the aircraft will be displayed</li>

<p>If you decide to install Infinite Flight on a different device, your subscription can be passed over provided you are using the same Apple ID (for iOS) or Google Play account (for Android) that the previous subscription was purchased on.</p>
<p>If however, you are no longer using the same platform (i.e. iOS to Android or vice versa), or using a different Apple ID/Google Play account, then you will need to link your Community Forum Account first for it to be recognised. To do this, follow the steps below:</p>

<p>Let's get you ready to fly! Welcome to the screen you'll see once you've <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/calibration#calibration" class="documentation-content-link">calibrated your device</a>. Below is a breakdown of everything on the screen:</p>

<p>This is the <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/hud#head-up-display-(hud)" class="documentation-content-link">Head Up Display (HUD)</a> and shows all the major information such as speed, altitude and aircraft attitude</p>

<p>The <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/flight-planning#mini-map" class="documentation-content-link">Mini Map</a> is a great tool to be able to see your surroundings without leaving the main screen to check your flight plan</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>A headset icon is shown if you're on one of the live servers, you'll be able to <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/communication#communication" class="documentation-content-link">talk to the Air Traffic Controllers using this button</a></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>The mini map can be used to make a <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/flight-planning" class="documentation-content-link">flight plan</a>, but if you want more detail and a view of the whole Earth, this can be used instead</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>The <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/status-bar#status-bar" class="documentation-content-link">Status Bar</a> at the bottom of the screen can provide loads of information which is fully customizable so that you can choose what you want to see</p>

<p>The <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/cameras#camera" class="documentation-content-link">camera symbol</a> can be used to change the view whilst using the app</p>

<li>
<p>Tapping this symbol will take you to the <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/pause-menu" class="documentation-content-link">pause menu</a> where you can edit settings, recalibrate your device, edit weight &amp; balance, and adjust time/weather/position (dependent on if you are in Fly Solo or Fly Online mode)</p>

<p>Primary <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/flight-controls#flight-controls" class="documentation-content-link">Flight Controls</a> are controlled by the physical movement of your device using the accelerometer, with the exception of the rudder/brakes which are located in the bottom right of the screen. The Parking Brake and Trim are available as buttons on the screen for all aircraft, as well as the Landing Gear, Flaps and Spoilers if fitted</p>

<dd>A magenta Course Select Pointer (this is the radial to your next waypoint) and Lateral Deviation Bar (indicates deviation from the required track) will appear on the <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/hud#head-up-display-(hud)" class="documentation-content-link">HSI</a>. By keeping these in line, you will remain on track to your next waypoint. As you approach the waypoint on your map the flight plan will automatically cycle to the next waypoint and the Course Select Pointer will move so that you can follow the new course</dd>

<p>When aircraft are tuned into a frequency with a controller, their flight strip will have either a green or amber circle displayed which will indicate to the controller if the pilot is &quot;active&quot; or &quot;away&quot;.</p>
<p>This can be useful when you fly for long distances and aren't at your device for the whole time. After 2 minutes of inactivity (i.e. no input with your device), your aircraft will be shown to controllers as &quot;away&quot;. Provided you are in the cruise, this will let them know that you are unlikely to respond and any conflicts are assumed unintentional!</p>

For ALT PRESETS, just tap the button and a list of preset options will appear which can be selected (this will override any current altitude that is set in the ALT window)</dd>

<p>Aircraft may be fitted with the Approach (APPR) mode which allows the autopilot to intercept an ILS and perform an automatic landing if it is kept engaged until touchdown. Before engaging the APPR mode, make sure to check that the ILS has been <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/navigation#tuning-to-an-ils" class="documentation-content-link">tuned</a> and <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/pilot-user-interface/navigation#displaying-an-ils-in-your-aircraft" class="documentation-content-link">displayed</a>.</p>

</table></div><p>For the best results, only engage the APPR mode when you are on an <a href="/guide/flying-guide/descent-to-landing/instrument-landing-system-(ils)-approach#what-is-an-ils-approach%3F" class="documentation-content-link">intercept heading for the ILS</a> (we recommend no more than 30 degrees). Once engaged, the heading can still be adjusted. However once the LOC capture is in progress, the heading can no longer be changed.</p>

<p>All aircraft variants have a parking brake and trim, and some will have a retractable landing gear, flaps and spoilers. The gear and park brake can be cycled up/down and on/off respectively by just tapping the symbol (the gear can only be retracted whilst airborne). Spoilers, Trim and Flaps can be changed by pressing and holding on the symbol, and then sliding your finger to the desired position</p>

<p>Sometimes you may see a magenta line within the trim button, this indicates that there is a difference between the position of your device and the calibrated neutral. A percentage that indicates the level of braking being achieved will show</p>

<p>The pause menu lets you customize your flight by changing Weather, Time and Weight &amp; Balance. It also allows you to instantly set your aircraft to be on the runway ready for takeoff or on short final. <p>In solo mode, you can change conditions allowing you to practice in all weather condtions be changing the following:</p>

<p>On multiplayer mode, most weather settings are unavailable as the weather is updated in real time, based on the weather that is currently being experienced in that location. Only the following can be changed (Also changeable in solo):</p>

<p>Violations can either be automatically generated (Level 1) or issued by ATC (Level 2 or 3) and are a way to moderate pilot behavior on the <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/home-user-interface/mode#servers" class="documentation-content-link">Training and Expert Servers</a>. <strong>Level 1</strong> Violations can be received on both servers, however <strong>Level 2</strong> and <strong>Level 3</strong> Violations can only be issued on the Expert Server. Each server has its own set of rules and minimum <a href="/guide/getting-started-guide/home-user-interface/user-profile#the-grade-table" class="documentation-content-link">grade</a> requirements, but the Expert Server is for serious users only. If the server rules and procedures are not followed, ATC will strictly enforce this and pilots could be issued a Violation.</p>
<p><strong>Level 1</strong> Violations are automatically generated if a pilot violates any one of the following set conditions:</p>

<p>To ensure that all pilots get an enjoyable experience (and realistic experience in the case of the Expert Server), Violations are recorded and have the following implications on a pilot:</p>

<dt>Level 1 Violation</dt>
<dd>If a pilot receives 3 or more Level 1 Violations in one flight, they will automatically be removed from the server and will have to start a flight again</dd>
<dt>Level 2 Violation (Amber)</dt>
<dd>The pilot is disconnected from the server but can continue the flight offline. The pilot may return to the Expert Server immediately by starting a new flight provided the number of Level 2 and 3 Violations remain under the server allowed limits</dd>

<p>The User Guide button will end your current flight and take you direct to our guides where you can find more information</p>

<p>The End Flight button will end your flight, provide a summary of your flight and then take you back to the Fly Online Screen</p>

<p>You also have the option to Continue Offline but you will be invisible to other players and will no longer be able to see ATC or traffic</p>

<p>In addition, Violations are kept on a pilot’s record and therefore, if a pilot continues to receive Violations (<strong>Level 2</strong> and <strong>Level 3</strong> only), Expert Server access will be restricted for longer. Currently, no more than five <strong>Level 2</strong> and/or <strong>Level 3</strong> Violations can be received within a 365 day rolling period for access to the server.</p>

<p>Once your grade is high enough to join the Expert Server, take it slow, follow all ATC instructions and be courteous to other pilots</p>

<p>If you do still find that you receive violations try to find out why, and learn from the experience.</p>

<p>We recommend that you only appeal <strong>Level 3</strong> Violations as these prevent access to the Expert Server, whereas <strong>Level 2</strong> Violations allow you to start a new flight (provided you have not exceeded the total number of Violations allowed). However, if you believe a Violation was issued in error, you can appeal <strong>within 7 days</strong> of it being issued by following the steps below:</p>

<dd>Within Live Flights under the Notes column, you will be able to see any flights that resulted in a report. Tap the note and then select &quot;View Flight Details&quot; at the bottom of the screen. This will provide you with the IFC Username of the Controller that reported you should you wish to appeal</dd>
<dt>Step 3</dt>
